Is Recovatron safe? Will it damage my USB stick or memory card?

Recovatron opens the removable device in read-only mode. It never writes to the USB stick or card it scans. Recovered files are always saved to a different destination.

Why do I have to save recovered files to another drive?

Writing to the same removable device you are recovering from can overwrite data you haven't recovered yet. Recovatron refuses this by default to protect your files.

macOS asks for Full Disk Access. What do I do?

Scanning a USB drive on macOS requires a one-time setup: tap "Set Up Access", enter your password, add Recovatron to Full Disk Access in System Settings, then restart the app. After that, scanning works in one click.

Windows denied access to my USB or card.

Some removable devices expose a raw path that requires elevation. Re-run Recovatron as Administrator, or pick the mounted volume instead of the whole-device path.

What is Magic Recovery?

Magic Recovery automatically finds and recovers files that are still recoverable on your drive. You only choose a folder to save to — the app handles the rest.

Which file types can Recovatron recover?

Pictures, videos, documents, archives, audio, and more. Results depend on how damaged the device is and whether the regions holding your files have been overwritten.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Recovatron runs fully on your machine. There is no cloud step, no account, and no telemetry enabled by default.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Contact us from your purchase address and we'll refund you in full. See the full Refund Policy.

Will Recovatron recover all my files?

No tool can guarantee complete recovery. Overwritten data cannot be restored, and fragmented or damaged files may be incomplete. Try recovering a few files and open the saved copies before purchasing.
